Catch My Drift?

UNIQUE WATERSIDE PROPERTY THAT PROVES TO BE THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR ANGLERS LOOKING TO STAY AND FISH IN CORNWALL

With UK staycations becoming the norm during recent times, you will be hard pushed to find a holiday rental boasting what the sumptious Driftwood has to offer.

Perched beautifully on the modern quayside of the Penryn river, Driftwood is a newly refurbished, two bed modern apartment with a luxurious waterside location which comfortably sleeps four.

The source of the Penryn river comes from the Antron stream, which flows into the tidal river underneath the balcony, providing magical views over the wharf and out towards the lush green rolling hills across Flushing.

This is one of our favourite haunts to fish for the hard fighting Mullet. Fishing here with light tackle and just bread as bait, should be enough to feed the appetite of any angler.

Steeped in history, Penryn is one of Cornwall's oldest towns and is said to be founded in 1216. A medieval port, trading in fish, tin, copper and granite, some of which was actully used in the building of London Bridge. Here you will find a plethora of pubs, shops, an art gallery and even a museum along the old cobbled streets which still maintains the old Cornish charm.

The neighbouring town of Falmouth is only a half hour stroll from Driftwood, or just five minute car journey to the town centre, where you can find the trendiest bars, elegant eateries, numeorus art galleries and of course the most wonderful golden sandy beaches. For those seeking an action packed stay in Cornwall, you will be spoilt for choice with offerings of boat trips, kayaking, sailing, coasteering and of course some rather good Cornish fishing.

Head for Pendennis Point or fish the rocks to the right of Swanpool beach which is called Pennance Point, or simply ‘Stack’ to the locals. Fishing in Falmouth is wonderful, where an incredible amount of species can be caught all through the year and with the temperature remaining mild during the winter months, Mackerel often can be caught all year round and is the place to be for a Cornwall Fishing Adventure.

Decorated to an exceptionally high standard, Driftwood really does feel like a home from home.

Perfectly presented inside with understated elegance, an open plan living area with access to the balcony offers the ultimate setting for a chilled glass of vino after a busy day fishing or simply exploring the beauty of the south coast as the Cornish sun slowly fades.

A well equipped modern kitchen awaits the family chef, complete with appliances and perfect for cooking that Mackerel supper.

Just a stones throw from the balcony, you will find Muddy Beach Cafe sat on Jubilee Wharf. Serving a super cup of coffee and being fully licensed, you really need to check out the breakfast and Tapas menu. No need for taxis here!

If your holiday signals a cooking ban, (who could possibly blame you) why not treat yourself with a night off and experience some of Penryn’s finest eateries which include the incredible Asian foodie heaven that is Bango Kitchen or the wondrous Indian delights served at Daaku who just love fusing the freshest Cornish ingredients with Indian spice to create the ultimate Indian cuisine.

If fishing in Cornwall is on your radar, be sure to check out what this lovely holiday home has to offer.

It really is all laid on.

Driftwood is quintessentially the perfect Cornish holiday apartment, located within the most perfect part of Cornwall, close to the shimmering water and ticking all the boxes for a perfectly relaxing stay.
